The 2 -3/8” width belt loop keep the sheath tightly to the belt to avoid of moving around and quickly drawing the knife. The sheath was made with 6-8 oz (2.5-3.2 mm) vegetable-tanned cowhide leather (High-grade vegetable cowhide from Italy tannery). Hand saddle stitch techniques, double stitch at the end points for strength and durability. Leather flesh-side (back side) is treated with special wax for smooth drawing. Edges beveled and burnished.
