Emergency Fire Starter Kit A Simple Kit That Just WORKS,,,Period This simple kit fills the need for light weight (3.5oz), non-chemical based, safe, waterproof, durable, easy to lite, low weight, fire starter that was capable of long term storage that was not heat sensitive. A spark lighter(green, red, black, yellow), around 4ft of waxed jute (brown or green), and 30ea. cotton wax nips. The waxed jute nips light very easy. Just remove some of the wax form the end and fluff up the fibers and add spark. The jute pulls off from the cordage and you can cut what you need. The "starter nips" have cordage embedded in the so that the cordage can be cut and fluffed up to easily start them. You can cut them in half and double the fire starting ability. The "nip fire extenders" and be used as a stand alone starter by fluffing up a small part of one end and removing a little bit of the wax exposing the waxed cotton. They also can be cut in half as used as needed. Burn times on the nips is 5-6 minutes. This kit is water proof and will not dry out over time.
