US Army Skeeta Tent Mosquito Net, Netting for Cot, Bed, Half Tent, Like New. This appears to be previously owned. An item fabricated of cloth netting designed to be used with beds, cots, or in the field with a SHELTER HALF, TENT to prevent entrance of insects including mosquitoes. Does not include accessories. The USGI Military Issue Mosquito Net is designed to be used with or without a cot and with or without a mosquito field net bar. The design allows for numerous ways to "pitch" this mosquito net, which includes numerous nylon ribbons at the sides and corners. This design can even be used inside a military pup tent as the shape is designed to form to the inside of the tent, if you wish. The "Insect Net Protector" is issued NSN 7210-00-266-9736. The "Skeeta Tent" is issued NSN 7210-01-520-7136. Both were purchased as Military Surplus. We offer two different styles at present. There are nearly identical in size and shape. The main difference is that the Skeeta Tent comes in its own, black pouch. The other version, does not. Both are mildew resistant and are Made in the USA. If a cot is used, it is recommended that the bottom of the military mosquito net be tucked under your mattress to keep out insects. Due to its small mesh size, this mosquito net is designed to keep out even the smallest insects, which include many No-See-Ums. The netting is normally made from polyester which adds to its high level of transparency. This netting is not treated with chemicals, however, for double protection consider using a bug spray to keep bugs far away. Our Military Issue Mosquito Nets are divided into three categories: New, Like New, Very Good and Used. See below for a description of each. New - This means the Military Issue Mosquito Net was received by us still in its original packaging, labeled as new or had no visible signs of having been used, issued or even unpacked. These will frequently have creases in them from being packed by the manufacturer prior to sale to the U.S. Military. Like New - The item either appears to be in unused condition or has slight marks that show it was either issued and stored or was lightly used at the most. There will be no tears or rips in the fabric, the nylon ties will be in place and the military issue mosquito netting will be in fully functional condition. The coloring will be in very good shape. There may be dust on or folds in the fabric showing where it may have been stored for an unknown period of time. If there are any apparent repairs, they are in this category if it is evident they were made either by the military or by the manufacturer and brought back to new specifications. Very Good - The item either appears to be either issued and stored or was used several times at the most. There will be no tears or rips in the fabric, the nylon ties will be in place and the military issue mosquito netting will be in fully functional condition. The coloring will be in very good shape. There may be dust on or folds in the fabric showing where it may have been stored for an unknown period of time. If there are any apparent repairs, they are in this category if it is evident they were made either by the military or by the manufacturer and brought back to specifications. Used - This includes everything else, while still insuring that the Military Surplus Mosquito Net is fully functional. There will be no rips or tears in the material. However, there could be some slight discoloration or signs that the mosquito net has been used. In short, it is fully functional but will likely not look new. There may also be signs of minor wear, to include repairs made to netting. However, again, in this condition the mosquito netting is fully functional and will do everything it was designed to do when new.
